The input of David Bottril, who has also produced works by Muse, Silverchair, Tool and The Smashing Pumpkins, is obvious in the rich layering on this album. This album takes new risks and directions. It’s hard to know how he manages such a profound and obvious commitment to both ventures. Ian Kenny also fronts the equally lauded band Karnivool. This highly established Western Australian band has been together for more than a decade with a consistency in the quality of their recordings and live performances throughout this time.
